Type Locality and Naming

Type locality is the West Hills of Manitu in Chifeng City, Balin Zuo Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Named by Compiler

Jingeng Sha (coordinator) Group for Liaoning Regional Stratigraphic Scale, 1978, Regional Stratigraphic Scale of Northeast China: Liaoning Province, Beijing: Geological Publishing House. First appeared in a 1974 manuscript by Li Jihai et al., who worked in No.2 Liaoning Regional Geological Survey Team. Middle formation in this regional version of the Xinganling Gr.
